We had to rush over to the rose gardens in the Bronx. Peak is near for these flowers...but still a magnificant sight! Lots of bees for Will to practice taking shots of. The perennials are in bloom as well and made for interesting shots.

Stopped by to see the roses at Hartford's Elizabeth Park on the drive to NY. Most of the roses are starting out late this year. Smooches wasn't enjoying the park (bit of a brat that day!) and got to sit in the car while Will clicked away.

We decided to go to the Bronx to see the gardens in the spring. The magnolias and cherry trees there were stunning. We also entered the conservatory to see the spring flowers... not as nice as the orchid display.

Spring has finally arrived in New England after a long, cold winter. We went to see the New York Orchid Show held at Rockefeller Plaza. They bought a deluxe tent to cover the skating rink and filled it with 30,000 orchids. Some orchids were enormous in size.
