We decided to go to the Bronx to see the gardens in the spring. The magnolias and cherry trees there were stunning. We also entered the conservatory to see the spring flowers... not as nice as the orchid display.

Spring has finally arrived in New England after a long, cold winter. We went to see the New York Orchid Show held at Rockefeller Plaza. They bought a deluxe tent to cover the skating rink and filled it with 30,000 orchids. Some orchids were enormous in size.

A visit to the NY Botanical Gardens Orchid Show. Even with the overcast weather there were some super shots inside the conservatory. I guess the new lenses help.

Our Mr. Smooches (of ragdoll breed) is exactly what the name implies, laid-back, docile, and non-aggressive. He tends to relax when held and possesses a non-fighting instinct.
