This year the Victoria Orchid Society's Orchid show was held at the Student Union Building (the sub) at UVic.  The place has changed quite a bit!  While the show was small there were still some interesting specimens, and many temptations for sale.  One day when I have a greenhouse...

We decided to try out the new Canon D60 camera at the orchid show going on at the New York Botanical Garden.

It's a big place! We loved being inside where it was warm, humid, and full of plants and flowers. Great pictures for the second time using the camera. The colours are very accurate and the detail is fantastic. This is the first time the Vanda orchid colour has come out correctly.

The Victoria Orchid Show held in the da Vinci centre had some nice specimens. It is a small place but enjoying to visit.
